I'll Know
I’ll know
I’ll simply know
I’ll wake to music and I’ll know
I’ll taste it on chapped lips
Feel it on calloused fingertips
Hear the faith
Sense devotion
And I’ll know
Heart will Twitter
Mind will submit its thesis
(it’ll be tabbed, annotated and bound)
Loins will...well...
Be dolts as always
But I’ll know
I’ll simply know

Jonas, this leaves me so eager for this kind of morning. I can feel the breeze through the window slightly open, that cool but yet warm (how is that so?) air that moves across the sheets, the birds calling in the trees, that stillness with shadows that aren't frightful, but welcome. One of those mornings, still in the moment, with that knowledge. To know.
But then of course, I want to know what it is that you would know, my knowing most likely different from yours.

...and after this knowing, to hold it in a place so sacred, it can't be challenged.
These were quite the words, Jonas. I tenderly salute you.
I am left yearning for this peace and anticipation. When I am 50 will I know? When I am more learned will I know? When I have exhausted all the questions will I know? Maybe soon.
Yes, you'll know -- you already do know.
Yes, Erin, don't we all long for just this kind of morning? As for the "knowing" that I knew once, then somehow lost/forgot? Methinks Kass knows.
And, yes, Kass...after one knows, the challenge, then, is to hold it close...defend it...fight for it...and never let it go. That's the hard part.
I got almost a full decade on you, Annie, and I'm far further from my knowing than I ever was. I hope better for you. May you be wiser in your knowing than I.
Correction, June: I knew. The tense makes all the difference.
I've known too, and I firmly believe with all of my heart that we'll both know again.
Lawdy, Stephanie, how I do LOVES me optimists!
