Our Emotions
Emotions are the
oceans within us
Cast adrift at birth
We row forth on seas
limitless and mysterious
Waters of abyssal
depths
Unique tides and
currents
A thermohaline
circulation...fed by tears
We drift forth
Destination unknown
Warm waters...and
cold
Gentle swells...Tsunamis
The navigator has yet
been born
With art enough to
chart these seas
What can a castaway
do
But pray for safe
harbor?
Somehow
Someday

Wonderful!
I've had times where the only sane thing was to sink beneath the waves. Somehow, it is all okay.
Thank you, June. This entry just kinda wrote itself, and rather quickly at that.
"Surrender" has its place, SAW.
In a somewhat different, yet related, vein - I came across this passage today (the Cosmos works in mysterious ways):
"But in a way you can say that after leaving the sea, after all those millions of years of living inside of the sea, we took the ocean with us. When a woman makes a baby, she gives it water, inside her body to grow in. That water inside her body is almost exactly the same as the water of the sea. It is salty, by just the same amount. She makes a little ocean in her body. And not only this. Our blood and our sweating, they are both salty, almost exactly like the water from the sea is salty. We carry oceans inside of us, in our blood and sweat. And we are crying the oceans, in our tears."
