It sounds like not remembering your dreams may have been a blessing. On the other hand remembering and hurting may mean you're ready to deal with something necessary.
For a long time, June, I wished I could remember my dreams. As a biologist, I knew that dreams had meaning, had their place. Even so, I woke, mind blank, for decades.
Nowadays, though, I experience/recall vivid dreams. I revel in the fact that I do. It's not that all the dreams are pleasant. Some are, in fact, quite disturbing. No matter. They indicate to me that I am "processing" a great deal of turmoil. I wake with a measure of understanding. And for that, i am most grateful.
