Jonas, at the moment I find I am deeply affected by the plight of animals the world over. I actually can't bear it. I do volunteer work with an animal rescue service and often come home in tears. I never used to be affected so badly. I don't know why I am having so much trouble with it. I hope we can save them all before it's too late.
Sometimes all we can do is share our grief with others, and at the same time try to help people understand the gravity of the situation.
This is a most lovely hymn to animals and should be a wake-up call to the rest of us to start caring a bit more. Very moving.
